Fanfare please...

It is my pleasure to formally introduce you all to:

Lola Ines de Cozar Rushforth

We'd assumed it was a boy for so long, we had a handful of boys names, and we'd only ever really had one girls name. We did recently come up with a couple of other names for girls, but having met this young lady, none sat quite as well as Lola.

(It did take a long time to decide against "Jason", it was close though, she just has too much hair to be a Jason. Sorry Jase.)

Pretty name for a pretty girl. Love the fact after all the secrecy of names it's one youl'd both talked about openly before. She looks like a Lola with katies looks and pauls talent for a performance the name fits. Will start securing web addresses and web mail accounts now to sell back to her at a later date.lol.
love ian and katie xxx

"Lola, she looks like a woman but talks like a man", as the lyrics go. I certainly hope not :-)

Its a v pretty name, and you will have to pardon me for the fact that the sealed card for you that is waiting to be posted this morning is addressed to the both of you and baby "whatever her name turns out to be"

And the best thing of all, of course, is that "Lola" also rhymes with "Ebola" and... wait...

Anyway, it's a delight to see such a happy, smiley baby, and the two of you aren't looking too bad either.

love
